An admirer of tho Masterton Central Brass Band has guaranteed a sum of .£llO for the services of a conductor tor twelve- months. '.'.,. . Tho Masterton Poultry Association has made definite arrangements for holding its annual show next month. Mr. C. Dahl, of Palmerston, will judge the pouttry, and Mr. R. Baillie, of 'Wellington, tho pigeons and cage birds. At tho quarterly meeting of tho Masterton Lodge of Oddfellows. Bro. \V. Calder was elected G.M. The officer were installed by P.O. Bro. W. 0.. Perry. The Claims Board of the Wairarapa Patriotic Association, on Monday made right of servico grants to two returned soldiers, and granted temporary assistance to thrco applicants.
