CITY MILK SUPPLY
Sir.—According to your issue of .Time 11, the Wellington Dairy Fanners' Association is seeking to further raise the price of milk, on the ground that its cost is getting it to town by motor lorry is very heavy. As to that I cannot say. but a'fact that is vitally important to the supply of milk to the city on that day is th'is: Some time ago tho Mayor stated that he, on behalf of tho city, was piiyinif so mncli per week towards the cost of gettim; this milk to town on Sundays. If that is so, how is it that tho association will mly carry the milk of its own members? I am old that the driver of the lorry is supplied with a list of members of the association, and anyoue clso is barred. Is the- City Council" in league with it to restrict the supply of milk to the city on that day? It looks like it if this sort of thins occurs, fcow we sec the manager of the association applying for the position o manager ot Hie citys supply.
