Jr. Hamilton Ifyfe writes from the Italian front: "The Italian troops stormed Monte Corno Kavento, a height of ten thousand feet, aftor overcoming enormous difficulties. Wearing ski, they approached forts built of solid ice, sometimes 18 feet thick. Such fantastic conditions are common in this region. The Italians, dressed from head to foot in white,- delivered a vigorous attack, which resulted in a complete victory. The surprised Austrinns (led down hill, leaving, guns, ammunition, and store?. This small operation, skilfully planned, and executed with small loss, gives the Italians an overlooking iwiil ion."—United Pomco.
