OVER%O MILLION SUBSCRIBERS
GREAT RUSH AT THE CLOSE
Washington, June 15. Mr. Woolev, the publicity manager for the Liberty Loan, forecasts that the loan will be oversubscribed by nearly a thousand million dollars. The closing- of the loan was marked by the sounding of thousands of whistles and foghorns. The bonds are a shade over par at Chicago and New York. The "United Press correspondent at Washington estimate that there are two million subscribers. There were tremendous crowds at the banks in the cities and country in a final rush to participate. A Bill designed to prohibit the manufacture of whisky and beer for the duration of, the war has been reported in tie Senate.
