HON. G. W. EUSSELL'S INQUIRIES, Referring to the shipping merser proposals on Saturday, the Hon. G. W. Bussell (Minister of Marine) said that information ivas being gathered, , from the Departments that were directly interested in the matter, raoro particularly from the aspect of the future trade interests of New Zealand. He hoped in the course of a few days to be able to call a committee of Cabinet together with a view to laying before it the information that had come to hand.
