ROMNEY MARSH SHEEP BREEDERS
The annual report of the New Zea■Jand Romney Harsh. Sheep Breeders' Association states that tho finances of the assooiation arc in a most satisfactory condition. Tho cash at the bank stands at -£2H 15s. 3d. During the year the council invested ' JMOO in War Bonds and Certificates. This, together with £3SK 12s. Sri. on fixed deposit, is all interest bearing, and after due allowance for liabilities, the accumulated funds of the association amount to J!1207 10s. 7d., nn increase of .£B7 18s. 7d. for tho past twclvo months. During the year 47 new flocks have oeen registered I>y the council, after being inspected and tatto'oed by tho inspectors appointed for this wort, the number of registered flocks at tho end of the year being 33G. Volume XIII of the Flock Book is ijpw in courso of printing, and will be issued to members as soon as it is published. The championship shields of Hie association were donated as,fonbw:—North Island: Feilding A. and P. Association; South Island: Otago A. ojtid P. Association. The Wheeler Mora.orial Shield was presented for competition at the Hawko's Bay A. and P. Sooiety's Show Inst October. All the association's awards were competed for by large entries in the different classes. Tho council records the large number of transfers registered during the twelve months and the increase in oxport of registered sheep, in spito of Hie war.
