CHARGE OF PERSONATION
ECHO OF GREYJrOTJTH CIVIC ELECTIONS, fly Telegraph-Press Association. Greymouth, Juno 15. At tho Supremo Court there was only one bill for consideration by the Grand Jury—that in regard to a charge of personation against Robert M'lntryre, of voting in respect of another brother, John M'lntyre, at the recent municipal elections. His Honour Mr. Justice Denniston remarked that tho calendar for tho West Coast was very creditable, there being only ono case for the whole of tho Coast district. David Edward Anderson, n lad- of teen, came up for sentence for theft of 500 letters whilst employed as a lettercarrier, and was sentenced to two years' reformative treatment. A true bill was returned against M'lntyre. t Later. Jn the charge of personation the jury sat the full time, and they brought in a verdict of not guilty. Tho prisoner was discharged. His Honour made no comment. Tho civil actions will be continued to-morrow. ■■
