Transports of Allied troops have arrived and proceeded to tho Corinth Canal and Keratsini Bay. M. Jonnart has demanded permission to'occup"y the Corinth! Canal and Thessaly,. and to expel from' Miens a number of Greeks, intimating, that there would be a use of force ia ' tho event of non-compliance. M. Jonnarfc ia acting as the executor of the three protecting Powers, but it is reported that" his instructions wero modified at the last moment, owing to a- sudden change on the part of one of. the Powers. ConsUntine is still a prisoner. After the expiry of the ultimatum ■at midday on Tuesday, crowds prevented three Ministers entering the Palace. M. Zainus, the Greek Premier, informed M. Jonnarfc that he was unable to disperse tho crowds. The French troops therefore commenced landing at Piraeus -on Tuesday _aftcr-' noon, and to march'"on-"Athons. There was a sudden diminution, .in the crowds at the palace, and less agitation and animation in the' streets. Constanane, braving the besiegers, departed in the evening in a closed motor-car, at a territo pace' accompanied by-tho Queen aß<l tne Crown Prince. The party were imraclested, and drove to Tatoi and thence to Crupo. where they embarked for Corfu* aboard a British warship.
