There wore record entries and a good attendance, despite, the "curtailment of trains and stoppage of excursion fares. . • Factories in all tho North Island proTinccs, and also Canterbury, competed in tho dairy produce classes. In butter, Awalvuri gained three firsts and tiro .points prizes; Moa, two firsts; Cape dOgmont, one. In checso, Dalefleld got two firsts, also a points prize; Cardiff, 'two firsts; Oxford and Capo Egmont, one each. (In. tho acreage competitions there wore entries from all over tho province In 'Swedes, Evan .Tonos, Toko, -won two 'firsts, scoring 99' pel', cent, in one com'petition.
For tho poultry 6how therowero largo entries. Tho North. Island Championsnip for Orpingtons was won by W. T. Hicks, Hawke's Bay, with a black pullet. Jn tho best bird class, J. Urlich, Hawera, 31-ou•'•with a Plymouth 1 Bock. Tho Farmers' Conference was well attended, and several papers wero read.
