Tho following return, showing tho quangiadeil at the ports of tho Dominion (Hiring Mayhas beon prepared by tho Department ot Agriculture:- ■ Tho total number of bales of hemp graded was 12,18-1, as compared with 10,841 lor the corresponding period of last year, an increase of 13J3 bales. For tho twelve months ended May 81, tho number of bales graded was 1-IS.GC9, as compared with 113,829 for tho previous twelve months,' an increase of 48-10 bales. During the month 2850 bales of tow were dealt with, as compared with 2268 for the corresponding month of last year, an increase of 582 bales. For the twelve mouths ended May 31 tho number of bales graded was 37,464, as compared with 39,394 for tho previous twelve mouths, a decrease of 1930 bales. During the month tho number of bales of stripper slips graded was 176, as compared with 303 for tho correspondiue month of last year, a decreaso of 127 bales. For the twelvo months ended May 31 tho numbto of bales graded was '1330, as compared with G753 for the previous twelvo months, a decrease of 2128 bales.-
