PUBLIC TRUST APPEALS
TEMPORARY SALARIES TOO J<OVY. Yesterday the First Wellington Military Scrvice Board delivered its decision in the matter of the appeals by the Public Trustee for 'William Millier, Walter 11. Pearce, Thomas D. Bwyer, Peter A. Deverill, Martin W. Water?, and George Miller. The appeal for Ueorge Miller was dismissed, as the reservist had been declared by the Medical Board to bo unfit. Regarding the other live men the loard will recommend that they should be granted leave till September 1. The chairman said the board had given the coses consideration at some length, and were of the opinion that sufficient inducement in the matter of salary was not aiveu for temporary men. Mr. .T. W. MncdonaW (Public Trust solicitor) asked if the board would forward that as a recommendation to the pinner riunrter. The chairman: Ye=.
