THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. VESTEHDAY. Present indications arc for cold and hoisterous conditions, .with southerly winds, strong to lieavy gale in part*. Rain is probable generally and heavy rain, ■with Hooded rivers, over the North Island and iu the north-east part of the South, -with snow in high country of the South island. Barometer unsteady in the south, but rise last soon in northern districts. A westerly disturbance passed iu tho south during Saturday night, and an intense cyclone is now located in tho north. Stormy weather has been experienced in most parts, with general rain, and snow on the hi?h levels. Strong northerly winds ruled on Saturday and still prevail in tile far north, but southerly gales have predominated since Sunday. D. C. BATES. Meteorological Office. Wellington, Juno 11, 1917.
