J iidge Sim and assessors have been engaged tor four days hearing a compensation case concerning the amount to bo paid by the Ohai Railway Boanf to the VVaino Coal Company in connection with the resumption of the latter's railway Uio company claimed .SdO.GSO. Much expert evidence was taken. The Court awarded _1D 6SO. As the amount awarded is less than half that claimed, each party pays its own costs. Mr. Adams J and Mr. Russell appeared for the ch.imJ ants, and Mr. Solomon and "Mr Mae--3 ahster for the defendants
