The Union Company advisod yesterday tliat tho Patcena would recommence running in the Wellington-Picton-Nclson service on Monday next. As tho Patcena is a faster vessel than the Mapourika, tlio time of departuro has been changed from noon to 12.45 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The Mapourika will withdraw from tho servico on arrival at Wellington on Satnrday night, atid will undergo survey and overhaul. There is some doubt existing as to whether tho vessel trill return to her old trado in tho Wellington-Picton-Nelson-West Coa6t running on completion of overhaul. FREIGHT HATES. According to a cablegram received from New York by Mr. G. A. Parkes, of Sydney, the Australian representative of the U.S. and A. Steamship Line, freights from New York are as follow:—42 dollars (approximately 8 guineas), for all classes and nil ports. Zohrab, local agent for the vessel, advises that she will not go to the Chatham Islands again immediately, but will remain iu the coastal trade lor some time. Mr. H. Bayne has joined the Mararoa as third mate. . _ . , At 6 .p.m. on Thursday the Raituna left Auckland for Glsbornc, Napier, and Wellington. The vessel is due on Monday morn kip with a general cargo.
