The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile -Agency Co. report: On Tuesday wo held a eale of dairy stock on account of Mr. Len Lovelock, Bangiotu. The herd had a good reputation and were mostly early ealvers, and in good condition. The attendance of buyers wa-s largo and' competition strong throughput, tho herd cf 51 cows making the high average of £14 lis. Tho beat prices were: £16 10s., £17 55., £17 155.; £18, £19, £20 10s., and £21. Podigreo Hoi stein cow, 39gns.; spring heifers, £12 10s., £14 10s.; 20-month heifers, r.w.b., £8 10s., £8 155.; yearling heifers, £4 lis. ••

Tho Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., stock department report: "Wo held an exceptionally BuccOFfcful dispersal sale on behalf of Mr. R. Kelly at Featherston yesterday. Taken as a. Tvholo tho cows -were an extra good lot. The attendance this unusually large, buyers being .represented from Taranaki-, Woodville, and Dannevirke, who operated -with confidence, tho salp going Tvith a swing from the commencement. The total herd of 51 cows sold from £10 to £50 10b., the whole herd making tho satisfactory averago of £14 75. ( which is a. TVairarapa record for this time of tho year. X very nice lot of 11 Holstoin-bred heifers averaged £13, weaners made £5 155., and two young calves £2 ss.
