AUTOCRACY IN CHINA
REPUBLIC PRACTICALLY DESTROYED SEPARATION OF NORTH AND SOUTH EXPECTED . > Tokio, June 6. The American Constitutional Adviser to tho Chinese Republic (Mr. W. F. Willonghby); who is en route to tho United States, declared that autocracy in China had apparently triumphed. It was evident that tho Republic hod ; been practically destroyed. Ho said that the revolution was most serious, and the militarists control the situation. The separation of Northern and Southern China and the establishment of separate Governments was expected.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. JAPAN'S ATTITUDE. Tokio, June C. Japan will not interfere with China's domestic troubles. The Foreign Office has announced that Baron Montono (Minister of Foreign Affairs) will make a declaration outlining Japan's policy.
