Y.M.C.A. NOTES
Accommodation in tho T.M.C.A. Building whs again taxed to tho utmost over tho week-end. Two hundred, and three beds were supplied and Jl7 meals served to soldiers at the Hostel in Boulcott Street, and 180 beds and 22G meals in tho main Y.M.C.A. Building in Willis Street. The Kcv. .1. K. Archer gave an address to the Sunday-afternoon men's meeting, when SO were present, and at the strangers' tea immediately following HO strangers and soldiers were -welcomed to tho city. Tho association entertained between 40 and 50 soldiers at snipper on Sunday evening after church. Mr. T. Caughley. M.A.. presided over Hie weekly meeting of tho Debating Society on Monday evening, when nujiitcresting discussion took place on "State Control or Private Enterprise." The opening night of tho Old Boys Club took placo on Tuesday evening, and was most successful, Mr. J. W. JJlack giving an interesting lectnrctte on j Tennyson: His Message for Omr Time."
