The Xew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report:—On Saturday, Juno 2, wc held a clearing sale .on account of Mr. Leonard Webby, Baumai. The attendance was large, and, as all the stock were good in quality and in iiret.rate condition, competition was brisk, and. the sale went well throughout, very satisfactory prices resulting. We quote:—Ewo lambs, good, 28b. 7d.; wether lambs, 235. 3d.; fat ewes, 305.; 2 and 4-tootli ewes in lambVto Boniney rams, 375.; pet lambs, 295.; 3 and 4-year llomney rams, 2f[gns.; fat cows, £11 35.; fat heifers, £11 45.. £11 10s.; 2-year steers, £11 2e.; 2-ycar heifers, '£7 165.; 10-month S.H. steers, good, £7 18s.; 10-month heifers, £5 65.; weancr S.H. steers, £5 165.; weaner heiferß, £2 10s.; heifer with calf, £13 10s.; springing heifers, £11; 3-yeai Shorthorn bull, £21; 15 dairy cows averaged £11 10s.; best early cows, £13, £13 55.. £14, £15, £15 lte.; good cows, £10 10s., to £12 ss.'; late and threequarter cows, £7 to £3; "Sandow" wool press, £16. At Himitangi on Monday we had a small yarding of ehecp and cattle and two small lines of dairy cows. We sold the whole entry at late rates:—Dairy cows on account of Mr. Martin Boyle averaged £11 4s. Best August calvers, £11, £11 10s., £13 55., £14, £14 155.; later and aged cows, £8 15s. to £10 55.; springm" heifcra, £10 ss. On account of other vendors:— Dairy cows, £7 155., £8 10s., £9 159.. £101 and £10 155.; 2-year empty S.H. heifers, £8 2s. 6d.; empty heifers, £5 10s.; fair store I cows, £6 10s.; 2-yenr steers, good, £10 18?.; small weaners, 345. 6d.;. small ewes in lamb, 20s. 6d.; fat ewee, 275. 3d.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report: We held onr weekly sale at Pahiatuo. on Tuesday, when we had a very fair yarding of sheep, and cattle. The tone of the market was much brighter and prices were considerably better than those ruling during the past two or three weeks. Wo quitted all our sheep and most of the cattle at the following rates:—Light fat 2-tooth wethers, 355. 9d.; fat ewes, 305.; 2, A, 6, and 8-tooth ewes in lamb to Lincoln, rams, 30s. 3d.; 4 and 6-year owes in lamb to Eomney rams, 235. to 275.; backward do., 205.; fovi word cows, £7 55.; store cows, £5 to £5 I 12s. 6d.; 2-year heifers in calf, £6 .65.; i springing heifers, £10 10s.
