THE CRIPPLED SOLDIERS' HOSTEL
(To the Editor.) Sir,—Will you kindly give me a little space in your paper as 1 wish to thank Jlr. Sutherland for his kindness in sending me the books of tickets un behalf of the crippled soldiers. J. am proud to have the opportunity of helping our brave soldiers, and to think that they will have a. home to. go to. L think those Indies and gentlemen who are working so hard for them deserve great honour, and I am pleased to see thut the public arc with all those who are selling the tickets. It is a splendid work, and every person that buvs ono ticket can say that they did kindly help to our brave soldiers, and they will never forget it. They must have u good home to go to, and X am very thankful for the kind support that I am receiving. I. have received in three days just £li Ids., and that shows that tho public wish to see our bravo soldiers living in comfort. I am proud to bo their mascot, and X will do all I can to see that we will have a home for them. I shall be very pleased if any lady or gentleman would send me .£5 to help in this grand and noble work. I have always been a friend to the soldjers, and I thank God that X can do more for them than sen them over the MIL I am always happy to help them, and I am sure there is some kind person that will send a little, ft will all help, and then we can say that we are doing our duty to our brave boys. We must not sit tight, and say that we have done our bit, as there is plenty to do yet. We can never do too much for those bravo soldiers that have left our shores. X,et us work hard for them, and give out our helping hand with money, as we all want to see the Crippled Soldiers' Home set up. T am sure that the soldiers will only be. too oleased to see that- the people in New Zealand nave not forgotten them. Let those that go forward tell their comrades at the front what we are doing, and that they aro not forgotten. "What a nice home," we will all be proud to say. As Nelson said: "Kvery niun this duv must do his duty."—l am, etc.,
