A MAOHI DBOWNEQ. '• By Telegraph—Press Association. ' Rotorua, June 4. •V Maori named Pakaroa, aged 35, a married man, with no children, was found drowned in the Waiotapu Creek oa Saturday morning. His clothes were on the bank. It is. supposed he wentto bathe in the creek, which is warm, on Friday night, and fell asleep in tho water. He left the Waiotapu Hotel at 8 o'clock on Friday evening. He was then sober. At an inquest a verdict of accidentally drowned was returned. THE TE ANAU EXPLOSION. FIREMAN'S DEATH. By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, Juno i. M Donnelly (one of the firemen on the steamer 'i'o An'au), who was severely injured in the recent fire, died at the .Napier Hospital to-day.
