'The following is. taken from an English paper, and is only one of many similar complaints I havo,> read:—"My complaint is of a very weak; heart, and, of course, incurable. I wasj; told to mess about tho camp; so, after, being fifteen weoks in the Army, and only: serving three full weeks, I am being tc-< tained to wasto the taxpayers' money as> well as my own time. There were threa; of us before the board—one who has fits,' another a withered arm, and myself. Tho' one who has fits has not done anything"', now for six months, only sleep in b.hi ; tenhiall day." i Sir James Allen tells us the authorities', in England aro not sending men to tbe : front- lietween U and 45 years of age. 1 Well, why is tho Government taking men.,, up to 4G years? It is only money away sending them to England.—'; I am, etc.," INQUIRER. « [In his latest reference to the subject, ■■ Sir James Allen stated that only Specially) fit men between the ages of 41 and 45: were now being accepted here for active.'j service.] ; - :
