In moving the adoption of the report the chairman referred to the year as one of many difficulties. He expressed the opinion that the butter-fat tax should be removed, and emphasised the necessity for cool storage at Dunedin or Port Chalmers. Referring to the likelihood of managers and first assistants being called up in the ballot, he said the situation was serious, because the number of men was becoming limited, aud they took three, it four years to train. The New Zealand Government was unaware of the. intentions of the Imperial Government regarding next season's output. The report was adopted, and the retiring directors, Messrs.
