KUGBY UNION MEETING. A meeting of the Wellington Rugby Union, presided over by All , . D. Weir, was hold last evening; Permission was granted tho Marist Bros.' School to play on Athletic Park on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Tho Hutfc Football Club wrote .alleging tliat a member of its' Fifth Class leiun had played for Petone last Saturday, and that the fact of hie having played'for Hutt on the previous Saturday was well known to members of tho Vfttono team. It was decided to write asking Petono for information. It was decided to writn to the .Berhampore Club asking for an explanation of ■ its action in playing a member of tho Oriental Club. The Berhamporo capliiin and the player referred to will bo , asked to appear at next meeting. Tho following wero selected to represent Wellington in the match against a Trentliam representative- team on Juno ■I. at Athletic Park:—Mol-ton (University), full-back; Thomas (Petone), Ferguson (Oriental), Coles (Petotie) three(|imrtei'e; Porter (Old Boys), Jackson (Oniversity), ftve-eighths; Green (Athletic), half; Hislop (Old Boys), wing-for-ward; Haigh (Wellington), Scott (Old Boys). The meeting decided tliat all matches I should start nt 2.45 p.m. in future. A friendly "Soccer" match hns been arranged between teams representing No. ,11 Coy. Senior Ca&ts and A T o. 30 and 35 Coys/The match will be played on Monday afternoon, King's Birthday.
