_. .' A OFFICERS ELECTED. »■ By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, May 29. At the Returned Soldiers' Association Conference, a deputation was received from the Second Division League, which laid the platform of the league before the conference. The conference resolved that the matter should be held over until the Second Division League Conference has been held at Wellington. It was also resolved that the conference views with strong disapproval the action, of the Government in taking cognisance of pre-war disability in granting pensions to returned soldiers. The following officers were elected:— President, Captain Pitt (Gisborne); vicepresidents, Major M'Kijlop (Dunedin), Major Raslrick (Hamilton), Messrs. Harper (Wellington), Cohen (Christchurch); treasurer, Jlr. Broad (Wellington) ; executive, Messrs. M'Callum (Christchurch), Waddington (Auckland), Batten (Wellington), Melliu (Auckland), Clarke (Du'nedm), Haycock (Palmerston North), Aldridge (Napier), Boxer (Hastings), and 'fox (Wellington).
