Yesterday tho Cobar was scheduled to leave town for the bays at 10.15 a.m., and to leave the bays at 11 a.m. on her return to town. Instead, she was dispatched to tow the Duchess at the Patent Slip, and. people, who desired to go to the bays by tho 10.15 a.m. trip, or who wanted to come to town from the bays by the 11 a.m. trip, were left on their respective wharves, in a cold southerly, to ponder upon the "efficiency" of their ferry service. Those at the town end, fortunately, were able to ascertain, befoTe they got properly chilled, what the Cobar was doing in Evans Bay. On the bays side, 1 oivever, no explanation was forthcoming, and a great deal of annoyanco and inconvenience was caused.
