ANOTHER PEA-RIFLE FATA LIT!'
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisbprne, May 28. Ralph Hale, aged U years, was fatally shot by a pea-rifle at Maugakuna, Tolaga Bay. He had' handed the rifle to « Native boy, who, thinking it unloaded, riim'ed it at him. and shot, him through the head. At the inquest a verdict of death by misadventure was returned. BOY DIES AS RESULT OF PALL. New; Plymouth, May 28. .Tames .N'ornmn '"Wright, «xed' eight jear.s, fell from the bridge of the dredge Parilutu on to the deck yesterday afternoon. He was removed to the hospital, where he died early this morning. KNOCKED DOWN BY A TIMJICAT!. At 8.45 last nigiit a man about •!"> years was admitted to the Hospital, suffering from concussion of the b'rain. It appears that the pa.ticnt. to whose identity no clue wa.s last night available, was knocked down by a tramcar opposite the Central Hotel in Lambton Quay. He wa.s carried into the hotel, attended to by a. doctor,, and shortly afterwards removed'in the ambulance.
A man named Stewart, ."> ye.-us of age, was admitted to the Hospital at 11.25 last ni.sht suffering from a fractured right elbow.
