«, , ■ BREACHES OP BY-LAAVS. Every Friday it is usual to have several motorists in the Magistrate's Court for breaches of the by-laws, and yesterday was do exception to the rule. ' Mr. L. G. Raid, S.M., was on tb.3 bench, and hoard the following cases:— James Aldred ,was oharged that on April 21 he did drive his motor-oar at «. furious pace on the Huitt Eoad. Tho occasion happened to be tho second day of the races at Trentham, when there was considerable traffic on tho Hutt Road. Defendant was convicted and fined dOs. and costs, in default fourteen days. Charles Physick, Alex. D. Crawford, and Albert Jones wore each fined 10s. and costs, in default three days' imprisonment, for failing to stop their motor-cars when requested to do so. Prod. O'Noil, for leaving his motor-car standing in Cuba Street and obstructing tho traffic, was, fined 10s. and costs, in the alternative threo days' imprisonment.
