Cable Assn. fLes Darcy was recognised as Australia's most prominent boxer, and durin" his ring career achieved a wonderful popularity with followers of. the sport, both from his science, and from his personality. Darcy, however, fell from grace when ho secretly left the country to evade military service in order to try his luck in the: American ring..
