FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for northerly ■winds, strong to gale, changing by west: to southerly shortly. Expeot a. continuance of unsettled. conditions, with steady rain, generally, and imow on the high leyels in the south; barometer falling, but rising ' everywhere after from '24 to 36 hours. The -westerly depression'has steadily intensified, and increasing northerly and westerly winds have prevailed.
