TVANGANUI THADE. AH doubts as to what trado the steamer yesterday, when Messrs. Bannsityne and Co., tho Wellington agents for the vessel, , announced that she -would enter tho Wcl-lington-Wanganui trade, and it is hoped that she will be ready to run her iirat trip to, Wang&nui for her new owner, on Monday next, ft is estimated, that the repairs and alterations to the vessel will bo completed on Saturday. Sho first went on tho Wellington Slip for cleaninc and Tiaintins, and since that, for about two weeks, has been tied up at No. 1 Railway Wharf, where a eanc of men has been -working hard to lit her for work. Tho pasben&er accommodation lias been removed, and the spate, os previously mentioned, -will bo utilised for carryinjr cargo. Captain Del-ley,-who was until recently in charge ot the Wairau, will take charge, of the vessel, but his mote has not-yet been appointed. Mr. Jolmson, who -was on tae vessel before she was laid up, will take charge of the engine-room.
The Wanganui Suppy and AEcney Company, who were previously her stents, will acain act as agents, in Wanganni, while Messrs. Bannatyne and Co. will continue to look after her interests at this end. The official namo of her owners will bo the Wellington Steamship Company: PATEENA RETURNS. Cleaning, -painting, etc., was completed on the I'ateena on the Lyttelton Slip yesterday, and she was to have left there yesterday for Wellington. No arrangements have yet be«n made' in connection with her jominencbiff in the Wellington-Picton-Nclson service, and for a few days she will probably undergo overhaul here.
