SALE OJ? BOLINDA ESTATE. At the sale of the Bolinda Estate, by Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Jii conjunction with Messrs. Barraud and Abraham, Ltd., there was a record attemlance, fully five hundred being present, the llanaawtu district being particularly well represented. Mr. Porritt, of Messrs. Abraham and Williams. Ltd., wielded the hammer, and Mr. Logan, of Messrs. Sainsbury, Ldgan, and Williams, was present to explain any matters in connection with the conditions of sale. Competition for the various allotments was particularly spirited, and the prices realised set a fresli record for the district. In all 517 acres were sub-, initted, and were disposed of under the hammer, with the exception of 139 acres. The aggregate price realised was JC3I,-i(K), which averages out at .£77 per acre. Tho sections passed in at the sale are now open for private purchase, and the auctioneers state that intending buyers should communicate with them right away, as several persons are negotiating for the same at the present time. For selling potatoes of the 1916 crop in Woolwich Market at a price exceeding ljd. a pound Sarah Anstia was at Woolwich on February 28 fined 405,, this being tho first prosecution in London under tho now regulation.
