The "Daily Chronicle's"-correspondent at Amsterdam, indicating tho forthcoming political unfi economic chaugcs in Austria states that tho Emperor Karl has nominated sixty new members to tho Austrian Upper House, five hereditary, and the remainder t i'or life. The new peers' include Herr Benedict, proprietor of tho "Nieue Freie Pressc," the lii-st journalist in the Austrian Upper House; Hdit Dumba, ex-Ambassador to America; Count Dietrichsteiii, ex-Ambas-sador to London; Field-Jlnrslial Conrad von Hoetzendorff, ex-War .Minister; and Barons Kothschild and Skoda. Nineteen of the new peers belong to the Left, and favour Parliamentary Government, twenty-three are of the autocratic Right Party, and.the remainder belong to tho Middlo parties.—Aus.-N./j.
