William Clausen, a, wharf labourer, was sentenced to three months imprisonment oil a charge of obtaining .£lO 10s. from various business peoplo , under false pretorces. Towards the end of last year a fellow-workman was injured, and Clausen went round collecting money to assist him, and after getting over .£lO he cleared out. He returned last week, and was arrested. Ho pleaded guilty, and said he went out in good faith, but went to the races, and spent the money. ■R.HEUMO rapidly relieves rheumy tisin.— Advt, ;.
