Silver Monarch shaped well otbc the fences in company with Pagot. Kauri King headed Postillion and Analogue over a mile, the last seven furlongs of which occupied lmin. 33sec. Splendidus, Luperino. and Waioturi were companions over the "hurdles. The former was seen to most advantage. .Botanist beat Toro Toro over six furlongs in lmin. 18sec. Nita shaped better than Slyrar, Camp Guard, and Papatero over tho fonccs. A.li jumped well. Moulu beat Talimi over the hurdles'. Gluepot gave a fair display ovor the fences, finishing well ahead of Union Jack and Grey Lynn. Bon Beye jumped the hurdle?) by himself, shaping nicely. .' . Czaronus and Braebnrn did a. round of the fences. Tho former ran off at the double. Calais easily beat Zarilla and Turehau over the hurdles'.
