THEIR. iNON-OBSERVANCE. Sir, —I have boon for the past, three years a visitor-in New Zealand, and, continuously, with others, have suffered from the non-observance of the rules of tho road and public footpath. Is it that tho people of Wellington do not, or will not, appreciate what has been provided for their comfort and safety? Perhaps, if the following lines were memorised, this deplorable slate of affairs would be greatly improved:— Whenever out walking, by day or by night, All sensible people will keep to the right; But fools of both sexes, of .reason bereft, Like horses and asses, will keep to tho left. ' This needs no explaining, you'll certainly know, " Which side of tho path you're expected to go. I am, etc., A LONDONER.
