WHAT RUSSIA WANTS CANNOT SUPPORT PRESENT PROGRAMME (Rec. May 23, 0.50 a.m.) . London, Hay 22. The "Daily Express" correspondent at Petrograd states that far-reaching negotiations are.pending between Russia and the Allies upon tho revision of the Allies' war aims. As outlined in a reply to President Wilson, M. Terestchencko (Russian Foreign Minister) formally discussed the matter with the Ambassadors, pointing out that the Russian working classes, while not desiring a separate peace, canuot support the present war programme,' and would require a revision of the treaties.—Aus.-N.Z.
