SITTING OF THE CONFERENCE. • The conference which was summoned by the Government to consider the situation that has arisen regarding the lack oi' shipping facilities for tlio carriage of the produce of the country to Europe and the accumulaton of perishable goods in the Dominion met yesterday. The conference is composed of members of the National Efficiency Board, the Requisitions Committee, the Board of Trade, and Mr. .R. Triggs. Sir James Allen »ind the Hon. A. M. Myers were present at the opening of the conference. The sitting lasted for some two hours, and then it was decided to adjourn in order to get from the freezing companies certain information.
