LATEST EXPOSURE OF GERMAN AIMS
FOUNDATIONS OF A WORLD * EMPIRE. (Rec. May 22, 0.50 a.m.) ■ / Washington, May 21. The return of- Mr. Penneld (United States Ambassador at Vienna), and information from other sources, has disclosed an ambitious Gorman scheme for the control of half Europe. It is planned on the establishment of a great military and economic dominion extending from the North Sea to the Mediterranean, embracing Bulgaria and Turkey, and controlling tho Dardanelles, the Baltic, and tho Aegean, with .Austria subservient. Thus the foundation for Germany as a world empire would be laid. This revelation is regarded' as /most conclusive proof that Germany's past projected peace manoeuvres were merely attempts at a true to enable her to effect the consolidation of the territory in South-Eastern Europe.— Aus.-N.Z.
