SIX O'CLOCK CLOSING MOVEMENT.

The City Council "to-night carried a resolution endorsing the motion passed by a public meeting in Dunedin -urging in the interests of national efficiency that the hours for the sale of liquor should be from S a.m. to ti p.m. The Mayor was also asked to convene a public meet- ~; ing in support of the movement.
