SUBMARINE PERIL
AMERICAN STEAMER SUNK New York, May 17. The.Hilonian (2921 tons), an American steamer, was torpedoed in the Mediterranean, and four of the crew were drowned. Tho Hilonian formerly plied between San Francisco and Honolulu. Twenty-five Americans were aboard the Harpagua (5866 tons), which was torpedoed off Marseilles. There are no de-tails—Aus.-N.Z. Cable.
