AN APPEAL TO THE RUSSIAN ARMY
FROM THE SOLDIERS' AND WORKMEN'S DELEGATES ' ; i ~~ . ■ ■• WARNING AGAINST ENEMY TRAPS AND TREACHEROUS FRATERNISING \ Petrograd, May 15. The Council of Workmen's and Soldiers' Delegates has issued, an appeal to the army not to forget that the regiments of the Emperor William of Germany are destroying revolutionary Itussia, and that the loss of Free Russia will be irreparable. "It is evident." states the manifesto, "that the German Imperialists, after defeating the . Western Allies, will turn upon. Russia, seize the country, and enslave the Russians." The Council urges the soldiers not to renounce the offensive, and warns them against enemy traps and fraternisation. Peace cannot be obtained by separate treaties or by the fratnerisation of isolated units; this will only lead to the loss of the Russian revolution." ■ • The Delegates have issued en appeal . to the Austrian and German Socialists not to permit their Governments to take advantage of the present situation in Russia, to concentrate more troops against the British and French, with the idea of crushing Russia later. r THE PROPOSED COALITION GOVERNMENT M. MILIUKOFF MAY BE DROPPED. New York, May 15. The Petrograd correspondent of the United Press reports that tho Workmen's and Soldiere , Delegates have decided to enter the proposed Coalition Government. M. Miliukoff (Foreign Minister) is' to be excluded. SOCIALIST PEACE AGITATION Copenhagen, May IS. The' "Dagensnyheter" states that the majority of the Workmen's and Soldiers' delegates are in favour of holding a Russian Peace Conference at Copenhagen. Two nundrefl and fifty Russian Socialists have arrived at Malmoo from Switzerland, via Germany, on their way to Russia, and a further two hundred aro expected.
