MOTION FOR POSTPONEMENT OF OPERATION. (Rec. May 16, 8.20 p.m.) London, . May 15. In the House of Lords, Viscount Sell ■ borne moved the postponement of tho i operation of the Welsh Church Act for one year after the war. ■ The Marquis of Crewe thought that the circumstances did not justify the motion. The Earl.of Crawford.stated.that the Government was prepared to iccept the motion for a general postponement of, tho Act. * ■ ' The Archbishop of Canterbury welcomed the Government's decision, owing to the difficulties of reorganising ;the Church.—Aus.-N.Z.
