SENTENCE OF TEN YEARS' GAOL
John Lavigne, aged 54, pleaded not guilty to a charge of indecently assaulting a male at Wellington. Tim accused was not represented by counsel. Hβ did not question tho evidence adduced by tho prosecution, but merely said he remembered nothing. His Honour directed the jury to return a verdict of guilty. A verdict was returned accordingly. His Honour sentenced the prisoner to ton yenrs' hard labour.
