LIVE STOCK SALES

Messrs. Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., report:— We held our weekly sale a-t Millers' Koad yards, /Danncvirke, on Friday, when we offered a fair yarding. of Bheep and a small entry of cattle to a, fair attendance of buyers. Our sheep entry was chiefly composed of store lambs of poor quality, but-' we succeeded in making a clearance of all sheep, with ,; the exception of two pens of \ o.wes and wethers. We quote as follows :-Cull lambs, 7s. 6d., 95.. 11s. 6d., 125.; i store lambs, 15s. to 205.; two-tooth wethers, to 335.; store ewes. 15s. to ESS.j store cows, £5 to £6 17s. 6d. The. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having conducted a successful sale of dairy stock; eto., on, account of Mr. Alex. Sutherland at Ms farm, Arapaepac Hoad, Levin. There was <i ve.ry large, attendance of buyers, and as the herd had a particularly good name, the sale went with a. swine, and tip-top prices wer* realised. The highest price paid was £21 ss. for a Shorthorn cow, and £14 10s.. was reached for several grade Jersey heifers in calf.
