AN INTERESTING POINT. Mr. L. G. Reid, S.M., gave his reserved judgment yesterday in respect to the cases brought by the polico against A, R. Durrant, licensee of the Neiv Commercial Hotel, charging him with exposing liquor for sale on a Sunday. Mr. H. I<\ O'Leary, who appeared for the defendant, had. raised the point that the bar in question opened into one of the rooms, and not into the passage, and therefore liquor was not o'xposed for sale. Having inspected the premises, the {Magistrate upheld counsel's contention, and dismissed the cases.
