The Management Committee of the Wairarapa Kugby Union hajS granted permission for the use of the eld showgrounds at Masterton for matches with teams from the Peatherston Camp.
The trustees of St. School for Girls have decided to establish a boarding hostel for pupils in Masterton.
The Featherston County Council has agreed to' send delegates to a conference to be convened by the Masterton County Council to consider the question of the amalgamation of the various counties in the AVaimrapa.
The AVellington Branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants has passed the following resolution: — "That this .meeting of the AVellington Branch of the A.S.R.S. calls tho attention of Cabinet to the manner in which statements of artjimtruo nature were placed before the Court at_ Auckland in tho cases against tbe miners' officials, and also ask the Government to order a public inquiry into the circumstances connected with the cases.' .
