ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
In the Karori v. Hutfc third grade match played on Saturday, Karori opened with fine combination, and for the first fifteen minutes kept the Hutt goalkeeper busy. Karori were awarded a penalty-kick early in the game, but failed to score. At last J. Bus,sell secured ,in a «ood position, and placed the ball well bej-ond the reach of Hutt's goalkeeper. Within ten minutes of half-time Karori scored .again through H. Porter. No more goals were registered in the first half. Hutt livenodl up considerably in the second half, and gave Karon's eoalkeeper many anxious moments. With ten minutes to go Hutt were anxious to equalise the score, hut only one goal was registered, and that was scored by B. Lusty after a scramble round the goal-posts. Boys' Institute Old Boys, 5 noals (Hay'vice 2, Jfence 1, Owens 1, TCvans ]). v. Wadestown, nil.
