The open spaces, the water front, and the three-shaded spaces of gardens and parks are shown so delicately and in such perfect perspective, that ifc is rot to bo wondered at that an old resident of Auckland identified his boyhood's home, and a special big treo which was the centro of a series of adventures. Little by little the treasures of the "National Historical Collection" are growing, and when time and space permit of the classification and exhibition of the material now collectinc. thn pxcellenfc work comprised in the scheme will be appreciated at its true worth.
