BARRIER VOTE IN FEDERAL ELECTIONS. Sydney, May 12. The Barrier electorate vote is a remarkable instance of the turn of the tide. . On the present incomplete returns the P.L.L. candidate is leading by 740. At the 1914 election Labour scored a majority of 12,000 aiid the conscription referendum "Antis" a majority of 5000. In numbers of other electorates where the "Antis" scored heavily at the referendum the Nationalists have obtained a preponderance of the present vote.—Press Assn.
