AUSTRALIAN WHEAT FOR NEW ZEALAND
OFFER TO BUY 2,000,000 BUSHELS. (Rec. May 13, 5.5 p.m.) Melbourne, May 13. The Federal Government is considering an offer by the Hon. W. D. S. MacDonald (New Zealand Minister of Agriculture) to purchase two million bushels of wheat for New Zealand. It is understood that the price offered was, below 4s. 9d. per bushel, the price charged to local consumers.—Press [The Hon. W. D. S. Mac Donald left on a visit to Australia some days ago. Il'he object of bis journey was not announced, but it was understood* that a big wheat deal was in view.j
